The artist behind the work

I am a contemporary artist working primarily in acrylic, whilst recently beginning to explore oil paints. Through my work I put emotion ,strength and vulnerability into practise - unveiling what lies beneath the surface. 

I am 27 and live in the North East of England. Alongside my art, I work full-time in the trades as a contracting plater, which means working away from home half of my week.

Although I have always had an artistic flare throughout childhood and school, I only began painting after a serious incident in 2020 leaving me with a fractured skull and brain haemorrhage. For a period of time I was unable to work, drive or leave the house. It was an extremely isolating and traumatic time of my life, rediscovering my passion for art really helped me find purpose during this. 

Since then I have continued to paint my own work alongside commissioning over 100 pieces in that time. Majority of my pet portrait pieces were commissioned from great people I have had the pleasure to work alongside in industry over the years. Always grateful to those that have stood by and supported this journey.
